زندگی بھر میں سرگرانی سے
ایسے کھیلا ہوں جیسے پانی سے
کتنے ہی غم نکھرنے لگتے ہیں
ایک لمحے کی شادمانی سے
ہر کہانی مری کہانی تھی
جی نہ بہلا کسی کہانی سے
صرف وقتی سکون ملتا ہے
پیاس بجھتی نہیں ہے پانی سے
مجھ کو کیا کیا نہ دکھ ملے ساقیؔ
میرے اپنوں کی مہربانی سے
