dard-e-dil mein kami na ho jae

kabhi haya unhen aai kabhi ghurur aaya

jis mein sauda nahin wo sar hi nahin

raqibon ka mujhse gila ho raha hai

hain wasl mein shoKHi se paband-e-haya aankhen

kyun main ab qabil-e-jafa na raha

kyun mera haal qissa-KHwan se suno

payam le ke jo paigham-bar rawana hua

hashr par wada-e-didar hai kis ka tera

aah karna dil-e-hazin na kahin

is bazm mein na hosh rahega zara mujhe

nale mein kabhi asar na aaya

sath sath ahl-e-tamanna ka wo muztar jaana

yunhi raha jo buton par nisar dil mera

gardish-e-chashm-e-yar ne mara

shikwa sun kar jo mizaj-e-but-e-bad-KHu badla

un ko dimagh-e-pursish-e-ahl-e-mehan kahan
