hai waqia kuchh aur riwayat kuchh aur hai

hai jo tasir si fughan mein abhi

jab bhi koi baat ki aansu Dhalke sath

dukhi dilon ke liye taziyana rakhta hai

har chand unhen ahd faramosh na hoga

nahin nam-o-nishan sae ka lekin yar baiThe hain

humse baat mein pech na Dal

bayan mein tere har tarz-e-bayan gum

humse bhi gahe gahe mulaqat chahiye

yahan to phir wahi diwar-o-dar nikal aae

jae KHirad nahin hai ki farzana chahiye

mausam ka aah-o-nala se andaza kijiye

jahan tak gaya karwan-e-KHayal

zarurat thi ki jo maidan mein nikle sar-ba-kaf nikle

din ho ki raat, kunj-e-qafas ho ki sehn-e-bagh
